The one thing that can change your retirement future. Many people are not taking action on their retirement future. Most people want to play now and save later. Others claimed not to have time to think about it right now. Piling debts are now the signs of the times. 40% of upper-income worker (those who make $75,000 or more) have consulted an advisor for financial help, compared to 10% of lower-income employees (make less than $25,000).  36% of upper income employees have read books on retirement, compared to 11% of lower-income workers.  36% of upper income employees look online to find more information about retirement. Then, just 22% of lower-income workers do the same.  Remember, if you want to be wealthy, do what wealthy people do. Seek to learn more about retirement. The simple ways of doing things. (a) Start with a firm foundation.      -Paid off all debts, excluding your house.      -Saved up three to six months of expenses. (b) Determine how much you need to save.       -It is the amount of money, you will need to enjoy your life.  (c) Invest 15% of your income into a good retirement plan--401K or Roth 401K. (d) Think about retirement investments as a long marathon, not a sprint. The more you invest in your retirement account, the more favor that compound interest will have on it. 

Retirement savings by marital status.

Retirement savings by marital status. More than half of married couples have saved at least $25,000 while 30% of single people have saved as much.  42% percent of workers worry about retirement.  29% percent of Americans who have less than $1,000 saved for retirement. You have to start thinking of retirement, even if you are a freshman in college or a working professional. Retirement savings by gender.

Retirement savings by gender. Men are more likely to save for retirement and they save at a higher rate than women. More than three-quarters of men are currently saving for retirement compared to 60% of women. And, while 37% of women save 1-9% of their income, 36% of men save 10% or more of their income. Retirement savings by income: 9 in 10 upper income earners are currently saving for retirement. Almost two-thirds of middle income earners are currently saving for retirement. But, only 9% save 15% of their income. Less than one-third of lower-income earners currently save for retirement. Just 4% save 15% or more of their income for retirement. Today's retirement crisis.

                                                Today Retirement Crisis 53% of working baby boomers who aren't currently saving for retirement have no plans to save. Just 9% of middle-income workers save 15% or more of their income for retirement. Men are nearly twice as likely as women to have saved $250, 000 for retirement. 58% of Americans are saving for retirement, while 42% are currently not saving for their future. 42% of millennials have less than $25,000 saved for retirement, half of Gen xers with savings of $25,000 or more. 28% of millennials and 20% of Gen xers have no retirement.
